No retainer. No hourly billing. If I don't find savings, you owe nothing.
Most cost-reduction conversations stop at telecom and office supplies. Mine doesn't.
If you answered "no" more than twice, there's very likely money sitting in your building right now.
What I Actually Review
I go through categories most businesses have never had professionally benchmarked:
Cash & Financial Infrastructure
Banking & Cash Optimization · Merchant Processing & Credit Card Fees · Retirement Plans (401(k)/403(b)) · Inventory & Floor Plan Interest
Insurance & Risk
Business Insurance (Property, Liability, Cyber, Workers' Comp, Commercial Auto) · Health Insurance & Pharmacy Benefit Management
Facilities & Recurring Vendors
Utilities · Waste Management · Telecommunications & Internet · Software & SaaS · Copiers & Office Equipment · Uniforms & Shop Supplies · Fleet & Fuel
Growth & People
Advertising & Marketing ROI · Payroll Productivity & Labor Efficiency
Each one gets the same treatment: what you're actually paying, what the market rate is, what's negotiable, and what's simply gone unreviewed since the contract was signed.
How I'm Paid
My cost reduction engagements are entirely performance-based. I review your expenses, identify every savings opportunity I can find, and present them to you in plain language.
You decide which recommendations to implement.
You stay in complete control.
My fee is a percentage of the savings you choose to act on — typically 15% of first year savings, paid monthly over 12 months from the savings themselves.
Here is what that looks like in practice.
If I find $500,000 in annual savings, my fee is $75,000 — paid at approximately $6,250 per month over twelve months. Your net savings in year one are $425,000. Every year after that, the full $500,000 goes directly to your bottom line.
You are not paying me from your operating budget. You are paying me from money that didn't exist before I found it.
If I find nothing worth implementing, you owe nothing. Zero. No retainer. No hourly fees. No consulting charges. Nothing.
Your CFO and Controller are already running at full capacity managing your business. This work requires dedicated focus that your internal team simply doesn't have bandwidth for. I come in as an outside resource with no internal politics, no vendor relationships to protect, and one single mandate — find your savings.
